We are working in 12 Arab countries with 9 national networks (with an extended membership of 250 CSOs from different backgrounds) and 23 NGO members.
Tax Justice is a track that ANND works on with national and international partners with the aim of raising awareness on, and supporting movement around, fair and progressive tax policies in the Middle East and North ِAfrica.
On Thursday, 9 November 2017, the Arab NGO Network for Development organized a workshop on taxation in Lebanon from a gender perspective, at the Riviera Hotel, Beirut. The workshop is in the framework of ANND’s work on economic and social rights in Lebanon and the Arab region and on international human rights mechanisms, including the Universal Periodic Review and efforts to push forward the sustainable development agenda, especially the fifth goal on gender equality.Read more
On 24 and 25 August 2017 in Amman, ANND is holding an Expert Group Meeting on Tax Justice in the Arab Region, in cooperation with the Jordanian Women’s Union and Phenix Center for Economics and Informatics Studies, and with the support of Christian Aid.Read more

This paper is one in a series of papers published by the Arab NGO Network for development (ANND) as part of its work on monitoring IFIs’ policies in the Arab region.
