In preparation for the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28), held in Dubai between 30 November and 12 December 2023, the Arab NGO Network for Development organized on October 25th and 26th 2023 an online expert meeting with approximately 10 experts to discuss the issues raised from a perspective of Civil society.

The meeting addressed the most prominent issues raised and clarified our position based on the results of the other twenty-seventh session from the global and regional perspectives, related to the challenges of the Arab region, including the issues of refugees, poverty, and inequality. This will be followed by a position paper/summary containing specific recommendations, to be translated, designed, and disseminated to policymakers, officials, network members, partners, and the general public.
