Third Webinar: Regional Dialogue on the Draft Recommendations for WSSD2
As part of the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND)’s ongoing engagement in the lead-up to the Second World Social Summit (WSSD2), ANND convened the third regional webinar to discuss and refine the draft regional recommendations for WSSD2, bringing together experts, civil society representatives, and partners from across the Arab region.
The webinar built on previous regional consultations and aimed to foster a collective reflection on regional priorities, key messages, and policy directions that can contribute to a more just, inclusive, and rights-based approach to social development.
The session was moderated by Ziad Abdel Samad, Executive Director of ANND, and featured a presentation of the draft recommendations by Hassan Krayem. The discussion was further enriched by interventions from Anas El Hasnaoui and Miriem Jaballah, followed by an open exchange with participants to gather feedback and insights for the regional process.
The outcomes of this dialogue will contribute to shaping the Arab region’s collective input into the global discussions on social justice and sustainable development within the framework of WSSD2.
The outcomes of this dialogue helped shape the Arab region’s contribution to the global discussions on social justice and sustainable development within the framework of WSSD2.
