Brief : Saker El Nour is a rural sociologist specializing in agrarian dynamics and environmental justice in Egypt and the Arab region. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Paris-Nanterre and has held research positions at EHESS–MuCEM, Freie Universität Berlin, the American University of Beirut, and South Valley University. He is Principal Investigator of the Endangered Archives Programme project EAP1594: Nubian Legacy and co-founder of RÉSEAU TANMO. He is the author and editor of several books and peer-reviewed publications, including the co-edited volume with Mohamed Gamal, Agricultural Cooperatives in the Age of Neoliberalism (2025).
